Aida Guerra serves as vice-director of the Aalborg Centre for PBL in Engineering Science and Sustainability under UNESCO and holds a PhD in Engineering and Science Education for Sustainable Development and PBL. Her research focuses on integrating sustainability into engineering education and academic staff professional development through innovative pedagogical approaches. Aida work emphasizes Problem-Based and Project-Organized Learning (PBL), curriculum development, and fostering student agency for sustainability. She has contributed significantly to the fields of sustainability education and professional learning, publishing numerous articles and presenting at international conferences. Her efforts aim to equip both students and educators with the skills and knowledge necessary to address global sustainability challenges. She is also an active member of several international organizations. Presently, she is co-chair of the Special Interest Group for Sustainability of the European Society for Engineering Education (SEFI).
