  4. Simulation of delamination growth under high cycle fatigue using cohesive zone models. A cohesive zone model is proposed for the simulation of delamination growth in composite materials under high-cycle fatigue loading. The basis for the formulation is an interfacial constitutive law that links fracture mechanics and damage mechanics relating the evolution of the damage variable, d, with the crack growth rate, da/dN.
