Dr. C. Palladino is an epidemiologist and clinical research specialist with over 15 years of experience leading national and multi-country studies in paediatrics and infectious diseases (HIV, malaria, HCV), primarily across Europe and Africa. Her work addresses critical public health questions to inform evidence-based policy and practice, with a strong emphasis on infectious disease epidemiology, antimicrobial drug effectiveness, and resistance. She has collaborated with leading research institutions and health authorities, leveraging real-world data to evaluate paediatric antiretroviral safety and effectiveness. Her multidisciplinary work has supported the development of public health tools and services, such as an in-house early HIV diagnostic test for newborns doi.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0181352. She has also served as a consultant for pharmaco-therapeutic assessments that guide health authority decisions, including contributions to WHO's HIV treatment optimisation efforts (doi: 10.1097/COH.0000000000000378).
