Maria Manuela Restivo is an anthropologist, researcher and curator. She has a degree in Anthropology from the University of Coimbra, a master's degree in Museology from the University of Porto and a PhD in Heritage Studies – Art History from the same university, through an FCT scholarship (2017-2022). In 2016 she founded the Arte Popular de Ana a Zé platform, dedicated to the documentation of Portuguese popular art and in 2021 he started the editorial project entitled Livros do Alhures. She carries out research, exhibitions and publications around popular and vernacular artistic practices, frequently collaborating with artists and designers. She is currently an integrated researcher at CRIA within the scope of the CEEC program.
