Alondra Abigail González Colunga is currently a student in the PhD Program in Food Science and Technology and Nutrition, at the Universidade do Minho, developing a novel platform to unravel the role of microbiota in obesity. She has published 10 articles in peer-reviewed journals and 1 book chapter. She has experience in clinical nutrition practice, participation in the implementation of public health programs, and food research. She is currently investigating the mechanisms of interaction between the microbiota and the host.
