Maria Picão Fernandes da Gama Minas

Dedicated to fostering collaboration, empathy, and social cohesion through grassroots initiatives and academic pursuits. Drawing from a background in community psychology, systemic intervention, and qualitative research, I pursue causes of social justice and poverty reduction, with the aim of enhancing individual, relational and collective well-being. Guided by the belief that reciprocity flourishes through inclusive dialogue and collaborative action, I am dedicated to creating inclusive spaces where diverse voices are valued and interconnected to drive meaningful change. Grounded in the appreciation for the inherent strength and potential of every individual and community, I endeavor to contribute to a more equitable and connected society.

2020/03 - 2021/06	The community circles, based on the methodology of Community Therapy, were organized during the pandemic to support individuals in overcoming emotional and social challenges. These circles provided a safe space for participants to share experiences, build mutual support, and engage in collective healing. 2019/07 - 2019/12	In the sequence of the project "Teachers, we need to know each other!", which involved more than 400 students from different cities of Portugal, sharing the recommendations about the importance of the relational dimension at school, a cycle of three conferences was held in Lisbon, Moura enad Figueira da Foz, with the theme "I want to listen to the students: Affections in the Teacher-Student Relationship".The participants of these conferences (over 180) were, for the most part, teachers.
