Marcelo F. S. F. de Moura is Associate Professor with Habilitation at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, Portugal. His research interests are focused on mechanical and fracture behaviour of anisotropic materials (composites, wood and bone) and adhesive bonding. Numerical simulation of fracture and fatigue using cohesive zone modelling constitutes his prominent research topic. He is author/co-author of 177 research papers in International Scientific Journals and 3 Books, and he has participated in 31 research projects, being leader of 8 of them and supervised 12 PhD (1 ongoing).
