Ricardo Bruno da Costa Oliveira. Graduated in Biochemistry from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP) and the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICBAS) since 2015. His final internship was carried out at Science for Life Laboratory (SciLifeLab) / Stockholm University, Sweden, under the Erasmus + program . He received the Prize Prof. Dr. Fernando Serrão from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP, 2015) for his distinction in the area of Organic Chemistry. After that, he completed his Master's in Biotechnology at the University of Minho, School of Engineering, in 2017. Microbiology and diagnostic methodologies have always been his main scientific interest. After graduation, he was a research fellow in the Coded-FISH project at the Centre of Biological Engineering (CEB/UM) - PTDC/DTP-PIC/4562/2014), having dedicated to the genotypic characterization of multiresistant bacteria in clinical isolates. Since 2018, he is a PhD student in Chemical and Biological Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) in collaboration with INIAV, IP, dedicating himself to the selection of aptamers for staphylococcal enterotoxins using nucleic acid mimics (NAMs) - FCT scholarship, ref. SFRH/BD/138883/2018.
