Bruna Isabel Teixeira Basto completed the BSc in Biochemistry (15 out of 20) in 2017 at the University of Minho, School of Sciences, and the MSc in Biotechnology (18 out of 20) in 2019 at the University of Minho, Department of Biological Engineering. Shortly after completing the MSc, she worked in collaboration with the company Terra Nostra (Açores) and became an assistant researcher at the Centre of Biological Engineering (CEB). She also had the opportunity to work with a company in collaboration with CEB. Currently, she attends the Doctoral Program in Chemical and Biological Engineering, at the University of Minho, with a Ph.D. scholarship funded by FCT. Her research work has always been focused on the search for natural products with equal or superior capabilities to conventional ones, seeking to offer a greener and improved alternative to society. She works mainly in the Industrial Biotechnology area. She published 1 article in journal (co-author). She organized 3 events for science communication and participated in 13 scientific event(s). She presented 3 posters communications (2 as author, 1 as co-author) in national and international scientific congresses.
