Sara Golmaryami holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (2011) and a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering (2018) from Karaj Azad University, Iran. During her Master's, she worked as a researcher in a telecom company's R&D department, where she developed a business model for selecting Internet Service Providers in Iran. Currently, Sara is a PhD candidate at the University of Minho's School of Engineering, focusing on innovative business models, smart energy systems, agent-based modelling, demand response, and consumer behaviour. Her research aims to support sustainable development and mitigate climate change. Sara is skilled in programming languages, statistics, computational modelling, and decision-making tools such as Python, Java, NetLogo, and machine learning techniques. She has presented and published her research at many conferences and in high-impact journals. Her recent publications include articles on social learning in demand-side management and hybrid energy storage system sizing. From January 2022 to June 2023, she was a researcher on the Continental Project with Centro ALGORITMI at Universidade do Minho. Since June 2023, she has been a research assistant at the Centro for Power and Energy Systems in INESC TEC, working on the InterSTORE project. Sara's academic background and research experience demonstrate her commitment to advancing knowledge and contributing to the energy sector.
