Sara Golmaryami is an accomplished scholar with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (2011) from Karaj Azad University, Iran, and a Master's in Industrial Engineering (2018) from the same institution. During her Master's studies, Sara worked as a researcher in the R&D department of a telecom company, where she gained invaluable experience bridging the gap between industry and academia. Her thesis focused on developing a business model for selecting services in Internet Service Providers in Iran, which shows her expertise in innovative business models. Driven by her passion for academic research and a deep interest in energy systems, Sara pursued a PhD in her field of interest. She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Minho's School of Engineering, Department of Production and Systems, where her research encompasses innovative business models, intelligent energy systems, agent-based modelling, demand response, and consumer behaviour, focusing on sustainable goals. Her interest in energy systems stems from its critical role in driving sustainable development and mitigating climate change, making it a pivotal area for innovation and research. Sara has developed her skills in programming languages, statistics, computational modelling, and decision-making tools such as agent-based modelling, machine learning techniques, TOPSIS, Python, Java, and NetLogo. Her proficiency in these areas has enabled her to effectively conduct and analyze data, making her an asset to any research team. Throughout her professional academic career, Sara has effectively presented and published her research at numerous national and international conferences and events, primarily focusing on innovative business models, smart energy systems, and sustainability. Recently, her article focused on the role of social learning in engaging residential consumer behaviour on demand-side management and was published in Smart Energy Journal. Her ability to communicate her research findings clearly and concisely underscores her expertise in academic writing and presentation skills. Sara worked as a researcher in the informatics department on the Continental Project, collaborating with Centro ALGORITMI - Universidade do Minho from January 2022 to June 2023. After finishing the Continental project, she began working as a research assistant at the Centro for Power and Energy Systems in INESC TEC in June 2023 to contribute to the InterSTORE project. This project aims to deploy and demonstrate interoperable open-source tools to integrate Distributed Energy Storage to enable the hybridization, utilization, and monetization of storage flexibility within a real-life environment. The result of this work is a peer-reviewed paper titled "Hybrid Energy Storage System Sizing Model Based on Load Recurring Pattern Identification", which is under review in the Q1 Journal of Energy Storage. Her professional academic background and experience underscore her dedication to advancing knowledge in her field and contributing to society through research, particularly in the vital area of energy.
