Artur Filipe Rodrigues is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Widening Fellow at CNC (2020-2022). He obtained his PhD at the University of Manchester (UK) in 2019, following his graduation in Molecular Biotechnology at University of Aveiro (Portugal) in 2014. His research interests consist on leveraging the potential translation of innovative therapies, such as nanomedicines and advanced drug delivery systems: 1) Pharmacological assessment of nanomaterials and characterisation of immune response in vivo; 2) Synthesis and physicochemical characterisation of novel nanoformulations for biointerfaces and advanced drug delivery systems; 3) Evaluation of molecular mechanisms underlying immune response to nanomaterials and transcriptional regulation. Filipe has published 16 articles in international peer-reviewed journals, and has delivered 6 oral presentations at international conferences. He has also co-supervised 1 medical undergraduate student, organised 1 summer school and participated in numerous public engagement events.
