Alice Maria Garcia Ferreira - Msc in Biological Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon. She is currently a PhD student from Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia. She has previously work as a Research Fellow at Laboratório Nacional de Energia e Geologia (LNEG) in wastewater treatment using microalgae biotechnology and further applications in bioenergy, biostimulants and biofertilizers. She has published 23 papers in scientific journals and has 3 published book chapters. She is currently developing her PhD in microalgae biotechnology for treating piggery wastewater and developing of biostimulants, biofetilizers and biopesticides at LNEG, Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA) and University of Almeria, Spain.
