Alice Ferreira is a passionate researcher with an MSc in Biological Engineering from IST (2016) and a PhD in Environmental Engineering from ISA (2025). She is currently working as a Research Fellow at LNEG under the BBRI – Biomass and Bioenergy Research Infrastructure. With nearly a decade of experience in microalgae cultivation, Alice has worked at the interface of academia and applied research, focusing on wastewater valorisation, bioproduct development, and the circular bioeconomy. Alice has authored 31 peer-reviewed scientific papers, 5 book chapters, and 37 conference abstracts, reflecting her deep engagement with the advancement of sustainable microalgae biotechnology.
