Pedagogical expert on theory and practice of education and social and environmental educator with a Master’s degree in Human and Pedagogical Sciences from the University of Padua (final grade109/110) and dissertation on Environmental Education and the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development. Bachelor's Degree in Educational Sciences (with distinction) and dissertation on Science Education in Scientific Museums, including a 250-hour internship at the Esapolis Insect Museum (Padua). Graduated from Archimedes Forest School (Chalfont, UK; (https://www.forestschools.com/pages/what-is-forest-school-anintroduction) with a Level 2 Forest School Assistent. The Forest School's curriculum focusses on personal and social growth, as well as creating ties with people and the natural world. Meaningful experiences are provided in learning communities centred on students, which have a good impact on the child's overall and lifelong development. Archimedes Forest Schools' pedagogical methodology has earned a respectable place in the landscape of transformative learning. Also a senior education technician specialised in parental education and social support for at-risk families (refugees, ethnic minorities, victims of violence); inclusion of children and young people in residential settings (Children's and Youth Homes - LIJ); university tutoring for academic independence (special educational needs); teacher training in environmental education; and educational and training quality assessment; professional development and lifelong learning. In Italy, I became acquainted with the National Network for Information, Training, and Environmental Education (Sistema Nazionale - INFEA; https://www.mase.gov.it/pagina/il-sistema-nazionale-infea) and took part in the WEEC - Italy Network's Environmental Education Manifesto (Bergamo, 2014) by invitation of my supervisor and professor Orietta Zanato (UNIPD). In 2015, I gave an oral presentation at the III International Congress of Environmental Education (ASPEA, Aveiro; https://www.ealusofono.org/) on the Italian project SIQREA - Quality evaluation of the INFEA Network, which evaluated the formative quality and processes of EE in the INFEA Network. In the same year, I released a paper titled SlQREA - Sharing Questions to Assess Quality. An example of using participatory assessment for environmental education systems, initiatives, and equipment published in the journal Ambientalmente Sustentable by the University of Coruña (ISBN: 978-972-99469-8-1). My academic training developed in parallel with my professional practice as a socio-environmental educator reflects on the ongoing need to deepen my scientific knowledge in order to improve and qualify my actions, as well as my identity as an environmental educator deeply committed to the responsibility assumed. Based on a local action and global thinking perspective, my ongoing project aims to promote interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary dialogue between Portugal and Brazil by allowing Science and Natural History Museums to share experiences and perspectives, as well as to promote the dissemination of scientific literacy best practices in museums.
