Associate Professor with Habilitation at the Law School of the University of Minho, where she is the Director of the Graduation Degree in Law, Member of the Directing Committee of the Master Programme in Children's, Family and Successions Law, Member of the Scientific Council, member of the Pedagogic Council and also the Coordinator of the Investigation Group E-TEC of the JusGov (Research Centre for Justice and Governance). She is Fellow of the ELI (European Law Institut), where she is MCC (Member of the Consultant Committee) of the ELI project on Guiding Principles and Model Rules on Algorithmic Contracts and MCC of the ELI project on Digitalisation of Civil Justice Systems in Europe. She has a doctoral degree in Legal Sciences from the University of Minho (2009) with a thesis on precontractual liability for the violation of disclosure duties and its connection to the fraud and error regime. She has organized several Congresses, Conferences, Workshops and Master Classes and has edited collective books. She is the author of several monographies, book chapters and articles. She has orientated/orients several Master and PHD Thesis. Her main research interests are civil liability, precontractual liability, electronic contracting, legal business (fraudulent misrepresentation, innocent misrepresentation, error, simulation, etc.), Family Law, Children's Rights and autonomy, legal capacity, legal personality, personality rights, gender equality, Artificial Intelligence, etc.
