PhD candidate in Fashion Design at the University of Minho, with a Master’s degree in Design, with emphasis on Design and Technology, from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2015), recognized by the University of Lisbon with a final grade of 17/20. During the Master’s, I was awarded a research fellowship by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) and conducted research at the Laboratory of Design and Materials Selection (LDSM-UFRGS), focusing on Bionics/Biomimetics, materials, processes, and design methodology. As a research fellow at LDSM, I collaborated on interdisciplinary projects integrating design and materials engineering, acquiring knowledge in techniques such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), laser cutting, 3D scanning, and 3D printing. Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from Methodist University Center - IPA (2012), with a grade of 17/20. Currently holds a Research Fellowship within the R&D project SmartExo - Smart Control of a Soft Exoskeleton with a Textile-based Actuation (COMPETE2030-FEDER-00761900_01/2026_CMEMS (1) of the Center for Microelectromechanical Systems (CMEMS) at the University of Minho, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) and national funds through the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) under the Innovation and Digital Transition Programme, Compete2030. The project integrates textile design, material innovation, and smart systems, contributing to the development of soft exoskeleton technologies through textile-based actuation and advanced material strategies. Author of four published articles, with one additional paper accepted for publication and another currently under review. Delivered seven oral presentations at academic conferences and invited lectures in Brazil, Italy, and the United Kingdom, with one additional abstract accepted for presentation at the Design Research Society International Conference in June 2026. Author of a patent application filed with the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI), Record No. BR1020160277353. Research lines focus on: (1) Sustainable Design in Fashion, investigating sustainability strategies in the textile and apparel industry, clean technologies, circular material selection, environmental impact reduction, and the social and organizational dimensions of sustainable development; (2) Bionics/Biomimetics, exploring nature-inspired solutions for product and textile innovation, integrating biological principles structures, processes, and functions into design methodologies; (3) Material Selection, emphasizing performance, structure, and industrial applicability of textile and product materials; and (4) Theoretical and Epistemological Foundations of Fashion Research, grounded in phenomenology, semiotics, and materiality studies, examining the sensory, symbolic, ontological, and cultural dimensions of fashion objects, as well as the relationship between body, perception, aesthetic experience, and sustainability. Professional experience includes logistics and stock management, fashion and style production, sustainable development, surface design, collection planning, production control, technical drawing, and patternmaking. Trilingual (Portuguese, English, Italian), with advanced English proficiency certified by TOEFL. Complementary training includes the Embroidery Workshop at University of Minho (2025); International Mentoring Foundation for the Advancement of Higher Education - IMFAHE (2024–2025); Yarn Weaving Course at Casa do Artesão (2015–2016); and Dyeing Workshop and Graphic Design Workshop at the Methodist University Center - IPA (2010).
