Nikola Novak has a PhD in History, Security and Defense Studies organized by the ISCTE University Institute of Lisbon and Portuguese Military Academy. His fields of study are security studies, the history of former Yugoslavia, border studies, geopolitics and divided cities. Nikola graduated in 2016 on the Faculty of Political Sciences in Zagreb and holds a MA with the thesis about the role of diplomacy in the battle for the international recognition of Croatia. His mother tongue is Croatian, he is fluent in English and Serbian, speaks Portuguese and German and uses Spanish.
