Fábio Alexandre Gomes da Silva

Fábio Silva completed his PhD in Psychology in 2024 at the University of Aveiro, funded by an individual doctoral fellowship from FCT, receiving unanimous distinction and laudation. He is currently a collaborator at the William James Center for Research and serves as an Adjunct Professor at ISPA - Instituto Universitário, where he teaches Statistical Analysis. During his PhD, he focused on understanding the effects of anxiety on social scene perception and interpretation. His work has also extended to research on the behavioral-immunological system and emotion-related body odors. Fábio has published eight articles in international peer-reviewed journals, serving as first author on seven, in collaboration with 9 different researchers from national and international institutions.
