Fábio Martinho Cardoso

Fábio M. Cardoso was born in Lisbon, Portugal. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees in Telecommunications and Computer Engineering from Iscte – IUL, Portugal, in 2019 and 2021, respectively. During his master he specialized in computer networks and optical communications and developed his master thesis named "Design of All-Metal Antennas for 5G and Satellite Applications". Fábio is currently a PhD student and researcher at Iscte-IUL and Telecommunications Institute, Lisbon, Portugal. His research areas are beam forming networks (Rotman Lens) and reconfigurable intelligent surfaces. He is currently working on his dissertation entitled "Development of Reconfigurable Metasurfaces for 6G applications". Fábio collaborated with the Mathematics Department of Iscte-IUL by teaching support classes to students and recording several video-classes in the unit of Mathematical Analysis II. He is a student member of IEEE, was president of its student branch from 2019 to 2021 and is vice-president. He was a member of the organizing committee of FISTA 20 - Start Up Faire, and several events held at Iscte-IUL that aimed at dynamizing the students’ learning, from workshops, classes for school projects (Code++), and events with companies (WiE - Altice). He was also involved as staff in several conferences and symposia promoted by Iscte-IUL and IT.
