A researcher of Renaissance philosophy, Yulia Nikitenko specialized in the art of printing (Pacific National University, former Far Eastern State University of Humanities), earned a master's degree in English Renaissance literature (Saint-Petersburg State University), completed the first period of her master's studies in Philosophy by undertaking a research project on Baldassare Castiglione's reception of Aristotle's Ethics (French University College of St. Petersburg). Being awarded a scholarship from the Government of the French Republic, she is currently pursuing her second year of the master's studies in Philosophy at Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University. Since 2017 to the present, she has served as a lead librarian at the National Library of Russia, with responsibility for the detailed description of the body of European works printed between the fifteenth and the eighteenth centuries. This corpus comprises Latin, French, German, English, and Italian-language works, and the descriptions are destined for the e-catalog of the library.
