Paulo de Jesus Henriques da Silva (PJS) is an Assistant Researcher under FCT Stimulus of Scientific Employment - individual support call - first edition (CEECIND/00488/2017), at the Center for Physics, University of Coimbra. PJS graduated from the University of Porto (1998). He completed a Master (2002) and a PhD degree (2008) in Theoretical Physics from the University of Coimbra, being the first PhD ever realized in Portugal in the field of Lattice QCD. Meanwhile, PJS completed a Music Complementary course (level 8) from the Aveiro Conservatory (2005). After his PhD, PJS has been a post-doc in Edinburgh from 2008 to 2010, and since then he has been working in Coimbra, performing innovative research work in Lattice QCD and also collaborating with PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe). He has several active collaborations with foreign institutions, including short visits to Harvard, Jefferson Lab, Leuven, École Polytechnique and Maynooth. During his career, PJS authored 1 book chapter, 47 papers in leading international peer review journals (4 PRD Rapid Comm/Letters) and more than 40 conference proceedings, with a total of 2010 citations and a h-index of 24 (data taken from INSPIRE-HEP database). PJS interacted with 35 collaborator(s) co-authorship of scientific papers. During his career, PJS presented and/or contributed to more than 90 communications (oral/poster) in international scientific conferences and meetings. PJS was the member of the organization comittee of 4 scientific conferences. PJS has been invited to review papers submitted to several journals, such as Physical Review D and Computer Physics Communications (22 verified reviews in Publons). PJS is/was the principal investigator (PI) of eight projects - CERN/FP/123620/2011 (10000 Eur), CERN/FIS-COM/0029/2017 (10000 Eur - ongoing), COIMBRALATT5 / 15DECI0396 (7.500.000 corehours), COIMBRALATT6 / 16DECI0039 (4.000.000 corehours - ongoing), FCT CPCA/A2/6816/2020 (3.000.000 corehours - ongoing), COIMBRALATT7 / 17DECI0063 (28.000.000 corehours), 2021.09759.CPCA (2250000 corehours) and EHPC-BEN-2023B02-032 (8896000 corehours). He has also been a member of several other research projects funded by FCT (accumulated funding: 660000 Eur). Applications to computer time through DECI calls, coordinated by PRACE, provided about 60.000.000 corehours in Tier-1 clusters across Europe. PJS was a supervisor of four Master dissertations in Coimbra. He was also involved in the supervision of several student fellowships at Coimbra, and he has collaborated in the supervision of a few PhD students (Lisbon, São Paulo and Leuven universities) in the framework of international collaborations our group is involved. He is also collaborating with a professor from Pierce College, Los Angeles, USA, who has chosen Coimbra for a recent sabbatical period. He participated in the juri of several Master degrees and collaborated in the supervision and evaluation of several Seminars of the Master in Physics, University of Coimbra (since 2016). Moreover, he was invited for the juri of one Master degree (2012) and two PhD degrees (2013, 2022), both at University of Lisbon.
