Hafiz Muhammad Saif Ullah Saleem is a competent chemical engineer with diverse academic, industrial, and cultural experience, looking forward to a Postdoc or a role in the Research and Development section in which he can fully exploit his potential and quench the thirst of curiosity. He has three years of experience as a process engineer in a South Korean petrochemical industry where he worked on cost optimization, water and energy conservation and plant reliability projects in close collaboration with different departments. In July 2019, he completed Erasmus Mundus Master in Membrane Engineering awarded by a consortium of three European universities and got hands-on experience in materials synthesis and membranes fabrication for different applications like food and water treatment. In October 2019, he was selected as a master research associate in the Laboratory of Membrane Sciences, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, Portugal, where he worked on the synthesis of lithium-selective membranes for its effective recovery from seawater to fulfil the exponential demand of lithium for battery application. In December 2020, he won a PhD scholarship funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and worked on the European project SEArcularMINE, focusing on the circular processing of seawater brines to extract valuable raw materials. In November 2024, he successfully defended his PhD thesis with five publications in Q1 journals.
