Rui Miguel da Silva Sampaio is a junior researcher with a PhD in materials science and engineering (University of Aveiro), in which he developed electrochemical sensors for monitoring chlorides and pH in reinforced concrete structures, considering the industry requirements for such critical applications. During the post-doctoral period at Instituto Superior Técnico, the focus has been on the design and electrochemical fabrication of electroactive materials for high-power electrochemical energy storage. He published 13 papers in international peer-reviewed journals, participated in 13 oral communications (5 as a presenter), and 2 posters at international conferences. He coordinated 7 events of scientific and technological dissemination. He has an h-index equal to 6, with 114 citations (from Scopus).
