C NORONHA completed her MD with an integrated Master degree at the Faculty of Medicine of Coimbra University in 2013. Her thesis, in the NEUROSCIENCE field, was developed at the CENTRO FOR NEUROSCIENCE AND CELL BIOLOGY, COIMBRA and UNIVERSITY OF BONN, GERMANY, and led to an original publication (PMID: 28236214). She started her residency in NEUROSURGERY in 2015 at the Centro Hospitalar e Universitario do Porto (CHUP) - Hospital de Santo Antonio, where she founded the BANCO DE TUMORES DO SISTEMA NERVOSO DO PORTO. With the long term goal of becoming a PHYSICIAN-SCIENTIST, she sought for expertise doing a clinical and research internship in Addenbrooke’s Hospital/Cambridge University and further enrolled in a PhD program in 2016. Currently, she is working as a PhD student in Epithelial Interactions in Cancer Group at i3S, contributing with a new research line in her group dedicated to GLIOBLASTOMA and NEURO-ONCOLOGY. Moreover, since the beginning of her residency she has enrolled in 4 SCIENTIFIC PROJECTS at CHUP [(2017-104 (093-DEFI/091-CES), 2019-183 (149-DEFI/155-CE), 2019-132(112-DEFI/116-CE), 2019.099(080-DEFI/084-CE)], published 2 original publications (PMID: 31162108, PMID: 31016453) and attended 17 scientific meetings, with 6 international and 12 national oral presentations.
