Ajab Gul Majidi is a dedicated Ph.D. researcher at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto, Portugal, specializing in coastal engineering and marine renewable energy. With a robust background in Civil Engineering from Bursa Uludag University, Turkey, he actively contributes to multiple R&D projects focused on wave renewable energy, including projects such as The Determination of Wave Energy Generation by Various Wave Energy Converters in High Potential Regions of the Black Sea (TUBITAK), wave spectra climate of the Black and Azov Seas (RFBR-TUBITAK), WEC4Ports: A Hybrid Wave Energy Converter for Ports (FCT), and ATLANTIDA: Platform for Monitoring the North Atlantic Ocean and Tools for Sustainable Exploitation of Marine Resources (FCT). Passionate about renewable energy's pivotal role in ensuring the sustainability of our planet and species, Ajab is currently in his third year of Ph.D., holding a grant from FCT co-financed by the EU¿s ESF through the NORTE2020 program (Ref: 2021.04847.BD). He is working on a Multi-criteria Decision Support System for an Optimal Exploitation of Wind and Wave Renewable Energies in a Co-located Offshore Farm, aiming to drive innovation in the field. A prolific author, Ajab has contributed to a total of 19 scientific publications, including journal articles and conference papers, showcasing his commitment to advancing knowledge in his field. These publications encompass a diverse range of topics, from the impact of climate change on wave energy resources to the assessment of wave model calibration and water distribution network design. His expertise and enthusiasm drive his pursuit of innovative solutions in renewable energy, positioning him as a valuable collaborator and contributor in the ongoing effort to harness the potential of marine renewable energy for a sustainable future.
