Graduated in Chemical Industrial Engineering (FAENQUIL 1993-97, currently at EEL/USP), Master's degree in Biochemical-Pharmaceutical Technology (FCF/USP 1998-00, FAPESP), and a Ph.D. in Industrial Biotechnology (EEL/USP 2001-05, FAPESP). Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the Center for Exact Sciences and Technology, Federal University of Sergipe (UFS / Brazil), and leads the CNPq Research Group entitled "Integration of Biotechnological Processes." His consolidated research covers the intersection of chemical engineering and biochemistry/biology, with a focus on the utilization of agricultural/agroindustrial residues. Over the past ten years, Daniel has demonstrated outstanding technical-scientific activity, participating in technological development and innovative extension activities. He has a significant technological and innovation output, including patent licensing to companies, granted patents, patent applications, software registrations, and publications in prestigious scientific journals with numerous citations. His work has also received excellent ratings in quality evaluations, such as Qualis/Capes. Moreover, he has received several awards, including the 1st place in the CNPq National Award.
