Sirine Bouguerra is an Integrated researcher at GreenUPorto Research Center and Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto. She has a PhD in Engineering Biology (Recognized by the University of Porto as PhD in Biology), and a MSc degree in Environmental Biotechnology, from the University of Sfax, Tunisia. She has a multidisciplinary formation in environmental sciences and ecotoxicology obtained at the University of Sfax-Tunisia, the University of Aveiro-Portugal, and the University of Porto-Portugal. Her main research activities are related to nano-ecotoxicology, environmental risk assessment, terrestrial and aquatic ecotoxicology, soil physic-chemical, microbiological, and biochemical properties. Her current research work focus on improving soil quality, ecosystem services and productivity in contaminated agroecosystems by using environmently friendly and sustainably agricultural practices based on biocontrol agents, agricultural waste valorization and sustainable use of residues.
