I obtained my PhD in 2006 at the University of Hamburg, my MSc in Elementary Particle Theory in 2001 at the University of Durham (UK) and my first degree in Physics (Ptichio Fisikis) in 2000 at the University of Patras (Greece). I am currently working as "Profesor Ayudante Doctor" at the Public University of Navarre (UPNA), Pamplona, Spain, while until recently I was a researcher at LIP - Laboratório de Instrumentação e Física Experimental de Partículas, Lisbon, Portugal. Previously, I held four postdoctoral research positions: (a) Wuerzburg U., Germany (2005-2008), (b) Paul Scherrer Institut (PSI), Switzerland (2008-2012), (c) IFIC, CSIC-UV, Spain (2012-2014), (d) IFT, UAM/CSIC, Spain (2014-2018). My publication list contains 108 contributions in journals, proceedings and arXiv.org entries. I have 48 articles published in top-tier international peer-reviewed indexed journals, of which 36 are published in Q1 quartile journals. My total published articles have received more than 4450 citations according to inspirehep.net, while the 48 articles published in peer-reviewed journals have received more than 3000 citations. My h-index is 40 (inspirehep.net). I have presented more than 45 oral contributions and 3 posters at international conferences and workshops, 14 of which were invited talks, and I have given more than 10 invited seminars. I have co-directed 3 doctoral theses (without being the official director in two of them) and two Master's thesis. I am currently the co-director of a doctoral thesis. I have participated in 16 competitive R&D projects. I am a member of the International Advisory Board of the International workshop on Multiple Partonic Interactions at the LHC (MPI).
