I completed my PhD (Biology) in December 2017, at the University of Aveiro (UA), with Magna Cum Laude honours. Following, I continued performing research as a Post-doc at UA until 2019, and in March 2019 I moved to the Univ. of Coimbra (UC), where I obtained a position as assistant researcher. During this period, I had the opportunity to perform two internships abroad in Brazil (Federal University of Bahia and at the Federal University of Tocantins), which were propellers of my internationalization. In 2022 I returned to the UA as a Post-Doc-researcher. In the last five years, I published 32 articles, 63% as 1st author and 47% as corresponding author, acknowledging my autonomy and critical scientific opinion. 38% of my publications are on journals rated on Top 1% and 3% of expertise field, highlighting the quality of the research I have been developing. Seven publications are international collaborations, and in 2 I am senior author in the thematic of rot fungi leveraging as potential bioinoculants to rehabilitate salinized soils (DOI:10.1016/j.apsoil.2022.104689; DOI:10.3390/agriculture13020382). The impact of my research has been acknowledged by the boost in citation number in the last 5 years (484 citations, h-index=12) and several invitations to lecture, juror, or chair in scientific meetings. I participated in several international meetings accounting with 26 oral presentations (4 as invited speaker, 1 award received) and >40 poster presentations (1 award received). I solidified existing collaborations and established new ones, at national (with the Univ. of Aveiro, Coimbra, Porto and Évora, and the Agricultural School of Coimbra); and at international level (with Southern Connecticut State University-USA, University of Castilla La Mancha-Spain, Adam Mickiewicz University-Poland, Research Institute for Limnology -Austria, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University-Romania, KU Leuven-Belgium, and Autonomous University of Madrid-Spain). I participated actively in several national and European research projects (e.g., Arena, Generosi, Synchrony, Fenomeno, Saltfree, Saltfree II) and collaborated in the supervision of 15 national and international students. Now, I am part of the research team of 2 international projects Epiboost,) involving 3 partners (UA, Univ. Ghent, CSIC-Spain); and the Cost Action Periamar (involving 70 participants distributed for 21 countries), and 2 national projects (in Bioplasmar as team member, and in CLEAR as co-coordinator). I acted as main examiner in 15 academic jurors (5 BSc, 9 MSc and 1 PhD) and of research projects for the National Science Centre of Poland (2021). I have been involved in the organization of several scientific meetings: 13th Iberian Congress of Herpetology (UA), Workshop entitled “Effects of salinization on freshwater and terrestrial ecosystems” and World Water and Soil Day (March and December 2019, UA). Since 2020, I have been lecturing in advanced courses of PhD programmes at the UA and UC. In 2021, I was invited to lecture, within the ConBIO project, for graduated students at several international universities: Universities of Cádiz and Federal do Sul and Sudeste do Pará, Universities of Costa Rica, Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabi, and del Valle de Guatemala. I also participated on several dissemination activities as science fairs, internships for high school students. I have already been hired as a researcher in the scope of national and international projects that have given me experience in projects management and implementation, as well as in researchers team management. These competences were reinforced in the industrial area, with which I have been collaborating in the last four months, which served to consolidate my competencies.
