| 2022/03/21 - 2022/03/23 | I participated in a course lectured by members of CIBIO's Functional Biodiversity research group (FBIO). We were given an
overview of the theory of thermal adaptation, talking about animal thermoregulation, links between temperature and life history
characteristics, adaptation to anthropogenic climate change, and biogeographic aspects of thermal biology. It also had a practical
component where we explored some of the most commonly used techniques to study thermal biology.

| 2021/03/27 - 2021/03/31 | I attended the XXIII National Meeting of Biology Students which due to the pandemic situation was carried online. This is
a meeting held annually by hundreds of students of Biological Sciences in Portugal with the purpose of promoting work done
in different fields of Biology. This event, had several lectures with the presence of Portuguese researchers from different
universities in Portugal, in addition to very interesting scientific workshops.

| 2017/08/01 - 2017/08/09 | I volunteered on the LIFE Berlengas project in 2017, which aims to conserve the existing habitats, the unique plants it harbours
and also the seabird populations of the Berlengas Special Protection Area.
Several activities were carried out such as: the control and prevention of the proliferation of non-native species; the control
and monitoring of some marine birds and their nests and also the promotion of the conservation of other native species and
the surrounding environment.

| 2015/03/24 - 2015/04/21 | I attended a course organised by the students association of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, which included
14 lectures by various professionals from different areas of the institution of the University of Porto. Going through the
areas of psychology, law, pharmacy, medicine, it was a course that offered a good theoretical aspect with the explanation
of some practical cases about this field.
