I am a Paleolithic archaeologist interested in subsistence and socio-ecological adaptations of hominins throughout human evolution. I focus on zooarchaeological and taphonomic analyses in order to reconstruct site formation processes and hominin and carnivore activity in Paleolithic assemblages and I am drawn to the application of innovative techniques in statistics and modeling for the study of the archaeological record. I am also interested in how insights into modern hunter-gatherer hunting practices and carnivore ecology can aid the construction of hypotheses regarding past dynamics of human-animal and human-environment interactions related to foraging and hunting.
