Alexandre de Oliveira Junior received a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the School of Technology and Management of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB - Portugal) in 2022 and a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from the Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR - Brazil) in 2022, having participated in the double degree program between the two educational institutions. He is currently a doctoral student in the Industrial, Computer and Environmental Engineering doctoral program at the University of La Laguna (ULL - Spain), with a doctoral scholarship from the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). During his undergraduate studies, he worked as a project advisor and people manager for the junior company Quark's up - Soluções em Eletrônica (2018-2019) linked to UTFPR's Technology Hotel, being responsible for developing electronics and home and agricultural automation projects, conducting training workshops in electronic welding, managing members and organizing recruitment processes. At UTFPR, he also participated for one year (2019/2020) in the scientific initiation program linked to the project “Instrument Project for Ultrafast Photon Emission Spectrometry Studies on Biological Samples”, dedicated to the development of low-cost systems for the identification of cardiac anomalies. Since March 2021, he has been a researcher at the IPB's Digitization and Intelligent Robotics Research Center (CeDRI). His main area of research is related to Digital Twins, Autonomous Mobile Robotics and Artificial Intelligence with a focus on data analysis, Internet of Things (IoT), cybersecurity, Cyber-Physical Systems and Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) for Industry 4.0 enabling solutions. During his research activities at CeDRI, he participated as a grant holder in two research projects, the DISRUPTIVE project (two grants) and the OpenZDM project (one grant). Within the DISRUPTIVE project, he has worked on the development of training and technological dissemination activities in communication and information technologies, having organized five courses and three hackathons in the areas of robotics, IoT, MAS, data analysis and cybersecurity, having a solid educational impact on different companies and educational institutions in Portugal, Brazil and Spain. In the OpenZDM project, he is working on the development of solutions based on data analysis and Digital Twins for defect detection with a view to Zero Defects manufacturing, using an automotive assembly line as a case study.
