António Alexandre da Cunha Bastos concluiu o Doutoramento em Engenharia Química em 2005 pela Universidade Técnica de Lisboa ( Instituto Superior Técnico), o Mestrado em Química em 1999 pela Universidade do Porto (Faculdade de Ciências do Porto) e a Licenciatura em Química - Ramo Científico em 1994 pela mesma Faculdade. É Investigador na Universidade de Aveiro - CICECO. Publicou 100 artigos em revistas SCI, 9 artigos em revistas nacionais com revisão pelos pares e 29 publicações em Proceedings. Tem 181 comunicações em congressos científicos, 49 como apresentador. É autor de três capítulos de livro. Possui um índice h=33, com mais de 3600 citações.
