Sara Barrias completed her PhD in Comparative Molecular Genetics in 2024/07/19 at University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD). In 2017 she obtained a MSc in Technological and Comparative Molecular Genetics in 2017/12/13 from UTAD. In 2015, finished her BSc degree in Genetics and Biotechnology also from UTAD. She is currently employed at UTAD as Technician working in a research project related to viticulture. Published 11 articles in journals and 2 book chapters. Co-supervised 1 MSc dissertation, supervised 3 works of BSc degree completion and co-supervised other 2. Has received 4 awards and/or honors. Participates and/or participated as Master Student Fellow in 1 project, team member in 2 projects and PhD Student Fellow in 1 project. Works in the areas of Agrarian Sciences with emphasis on Agrarian and Food Biotechnology, and Natural sciences with emphasis on Biological Sciences and Molecular Genetics. In her professional activities, has interacted with 164 collaborators, co-authorshiped various scientific papers, organized 1 event and participated in more than 30 events (seminars, workshops, local meetings and international congresses).
