I finished my BSc in Biology in 2015 and my MSc in Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2017. Most of my work has been associated with multiple areas ranging from plant physiology and genetics to ecotoxicology in marine organisms (diatoms, macroalgae, fish and mussels) and their interaction with the environment (e.g. climate change, pharmaceutical exposure, heavy metal pollution). I have performed techniques such as RT-PCR, GC-FID, UPLC-MS, TXRF, Fluorometry, Spectrophotometry throughout my roles as a researcher and/or collaborator in different projects (Optigrape II, RESTAURA2020, OPTOX, INTERPHENO, Aqua-Prospect, MarCODE and Hg-Planktartic) and as a result I have published 24 articles. I have been able to teach and mentor various Portuguese and foreign students doing their internships but also teach students from Guided Study in Molecular Biology and Genetics, a class from the BSc in Biology at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. In the same vein of work, I was also invited to talk about my work in classes such as Stress Molecular Physiology, a class from the MSc in Molecular Biology and Genetics. Currently I am enrolling in a FCT-funded PhD program in Biology at the Faculty of Sciences.
