I completed a BSc degree in Psychology in 2015 and an MSc degree in Health Psychology and Neuropsychological Rehabilitation in 2017, both from the University of Aveiro, Portugal. Currently, I am a PhD research fellow at the William James Center for Research - Aveiro, Department of Education and Psychology, University of Aveiro, Aveiro, Portugal. My research project is supported by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology under Grant (SFRH/BD/137993/2018) and my main research interests include social cognition, visual attention, face perception, sensory processing and emotional and cognitive processing related to health/disease. Specifically, my PhD project aims to explore the relationship between health/disease cues, attentional and mnesic processing, disease avoidance and the articulation between the behavioral and the biological immune systems. Furthermore, I am a Junior Psychologist (Trainee Member Nº 128598 of the Order of Portuguese Psychologists) and a Certified Trainer (IEFP – Certificate Nº F685493/2019). I am also mentoring a student enrolled in the Scientific Initiation Program of the undergraduate degree in Psychology (PIC-PSI).
