Dr. Cadavez is a Zootechnical Engineer with a PhD in Animal Science; and has built a strong body of knowledge in food biopreservation including the use of lactic acid bacteria and their metabolites to improve microbial stability and quality of foods. He is very experienced in data modelling, creation of dashboards, and he has been very active in the introduction of Machine Learning, AI and Large Language Models in the fields of agriculture and food safety. He has developed shiny applications and R packages within the context of microbiological food safety modelling and for the World Health Organization. Dr Cadavez is the developer of the Pathogens-in-Food European database, accessed by all food safety authorities in Europe. He has published over 100 scientific peer-reviewed articles.
