Susana Correia graduated in Genetics and Biotechnology and obtained her European PhD in Technologic, Comparative and Molecular Genetics by the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (Vila Real, Portugal) in 2017, having developed most of her PhD work between Portugal and France (INRA, Clermont-Ferrand). Following her PhD, she completed a specialized training course in informatics and worked at Accenture Technology (Braga, Portugal) for 6 months. She worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in IC&TD FCT projects at PT Government Associate Laboratories between 2018 and 2021, first in Antimicrobial Resistance at the (Bio)Chemistry & OMICS group of LAQV-REQUIMTE (Vila Real, Portugal), and later in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine at ICVS/3Bs (Guimarães, Portugal). She is currently a Senior Research Technician under the PRR project PBA-T - Blue Bioeconomy Pact - Textile Vertical at the Centre of Biological Engineering, University of Minho (Braga, Portugal).
