Marta Fernandes da Silva: -Master's degree in History, International Relations and Cooperation (specialization in International Relations and Cooperation) in 2019, from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto; -Degree in Law (pre-Bologna) in 2006, from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Porto Regional Center. Completed her internship at the Bar Association (Conselho Distrital do Porto) with aggregation (as a lawyer) in July 2009. Main interest research lines are in Social History, seeking to understand how specific contexts of the past contributed to the inequality(ies) of the present, particularly regarding communities and/or social groups, minorities [highlighting the theme of Afro-reparations. Actually, a particular interest of researching emerges from the dialectics and dynamics between nineteenth-century European liberalism and slavery, and the reflections of its ideology in the way in which the abolition of African slaves took place and, particularly, post-abolition].
