Sérgio Moro (Agregação e Doutoramento em Ciências e Tecnologias de Informação) é Professor Auxiliar no ISCTE-IUL e Sub-Director e Cordenador do Grupo de Sistemas de Informação do ISTAR-IUL. Sérgio é um Data Scientist interdisciplinar que procura descobrir padrões de conhecimento através de abordagens baseadas em dados. Os seus interesses de investigação incluem Business Intelligence, Data Mining, Data Science, e Sistemas de Suporte à Decisão aplicados a problemas reais em áreas como Marketing, Banca, e Turismo. Ele publicou em domínios como Informação de Gestão (e.g., International Journal of Information Management, Journal of Information Science), Sistemas de Informação (e.g., Decision Support Systems, Expert Systems with Applications), Marketing (e.g., Journal of Business Research, Journal of Retailing & Consumer Services), Hospitalidade & Turismo (e.g., Annals of Tourism Research, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management), and Aplicações à Indústria (e.g., Computers in Industry). Sérgio trabalhou durante 15 anos (2001-2016) no Banco Montepio, dos quais os 3 últimos e meio como Coordenador de Projetos de Business Intelligence e Analytics, incluindo projetos como Analytical CRM, IRB (internal ratings-based approach to capital requirements for credit risk), ALM (Asset-Liability Management), e GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance). Sérgio possui uma Licenciatura em Engenharia Informática e de Computadores (Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa), um Mestrado em Gestão de Sistemas de Informação (ISCTE-IUL), e um Doutoramento em Ciências e Tecnologias de Informação (ISCTE-IUL). Sérgio foi nomeado para o Editorial Board da revista Tourism Management Perspectives (Q1) para o ano de 2019.
