Irandina Afonso is a Ph.D. candidate in the Doctoral Program in Philosophy of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University
of Porto (FLUP). Master's degree in Contemporary Philosophy (2020) and Degree in Philosophy (2018), both at FLUP. Honours
Degree in Dentistry (2000) at the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Porto (FMDUP). Ph.D. Studentship holder funded
by FCT - Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (the Portuguese national funding agency for science, research, and technology)
since 2021, at the RG Philosophy & Public Space of the Institute of Philosophy of the University of Porto (R&D Unit/FIL/00502).
Research domains: contemporary identity politics, philosophy of the city and public space, non-binary gender studies, contemporary
subjectivity, ethics, social and political thought. Invited Assistant at the Department of Philosophy of FLUP (since 2023).
