Doctorate in Environment and Sustainability from NOVA School of Science and Technology. She conducts research on nanomaterials, sensors development, remote sensing, waste management and life cycle assessment. Her contributions (1 patent application, 23 articles, and 4 book chapters) have culminated in a 10 h-index. Currently, Cátia assumes the role of Assistant Professor and Academic Director for SIT in Portugal, while continuing her research work at CICEE, Autonoma University, and serves as a Mentor for the HiSeedTech association.
