The assessment of the role of MDR genes in the response to antitumor agents using in models of simple eukaryotes, such as yeast, for the heterologous expression of different variants of the genes, is also a research goal. More recently, she has being studying the potential use of chiral derivatives of flavonoids and xhantones as antitumor agents and their mechanism of action in cancer cells.
