I am a PhD in Physics Engineering. My research activities have been focused on improving the performance of gaseous detectors through the optimisation of gas mixtures and the characterisation of novel micro-patterned gaseous multipliers. During my MSc in Engineering Physics, I studied the imaging capabilities of Kr-CO2 gas mixtures with 100 micro-meter GEMs, proving that krypton-based mixtures have an improved position resolution for radiation energies higher than 18 keV, contrarily to argon-based mixtures. My PhD research was integrated on the R&D efforts for CYGNO, a Directional Dark Matter Experiment. My contribution focused on maximising the secondary scintillation yield of He-CF4 gas mixtures for the CYGNO-TPC, through the evaluation of different concentrations, additives, and detector configurations. I also participated in the analysis of over- and underground data obtained with the LIME prototype, developing Machine Learning models for 3D track reconstruction. In parallel with my scientific activities, I am a "Cartas com Ciência" correspondent, a voluntary science communication programme for children from developing regions. I was the Mechanics Coordinator for STRATOSPOLCA (STRATOSpheric POLarimetry with Cadmium Telluride Array), an experiment launched to the stratosphere in the 31st Campaign of BEXUS (Balloon Experiments for University Students).
