Danie José da Costa Barbosa has completed an Integrated Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences, in 2009, and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences - Specialty of Toxicology, in 2013, at University of Porto. He is currently Invited Assistant Professor at Cooperativa de Ensino Superior Politécnico e Universitário (CESPU) and Researcher at Institute for Research and Innovation in Health (i3S). Daniel Barbosa works in the areas of Molecular and Cell Biology, Neurosciences, Pharmacology, Toxicology and Forensic Sciences. He published twenty nine articles in Peer Review International Journals (most of the journals Q1 on their respective fields), fourteen abstracts in Peer Review International Journals, and three book chapters. Daniel Barbosa has several poster presentations and oral presentations in national and international conferences. He participates or participated in eight research projects funded by national and international agencies. Over the years, he has served as a reviewer for several Peer Review International Journals. He has supervised a Pre-Graduated Student and co-supervised a Master Student. At the present, he co-supervises two FCT funded and a non-FCT funded PhD Students, and supervises a Master Student and a Pre-Graduated Student. In his Curriculum Vitae , the most frequent terms in the context of scientific and technological production are: microtubules, intracellular transport, molecular motors, dynein, dynactin, intracellular organelles, CRISPR-Cas9, C. elegans, oxidative stress, MDMA ("ecstasy"), drugs of abuse, neurosciences, neurotoxicology.
