Florian Pertzborn é Contrabaixista Solista A - Co - Principal na Orquestra Sinfónica Porto - Casa da Música e professor de Contrabaixo na Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo do Porto.Natural de Alemanha , concluiu a sua Licenciatura na Universidade das Artes de Würzburg na classe de Michinori Bunya, obtendo sua pós - graduação em Solo Performance com Ichiro Noda na Opera de Frankfurto. Enquanto membro Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto concluiu o mestrado em Solo Performance com distinção na Universidade de Sheffield sob a orientação de Jane Davidson, Universidade de Melbourne e Michael Wolf , Universidade das Artes Berlim. Concluiu os seus estudos a nível de doutoramento com magna cum laude na Universidade Católica Portuguesa Porto e Universidade de Londres – Instituto de Educação, sob a orientação de Daniela Coimbra e Susan Hallam. Completou a sua formação como Solista e Músico de Orquestra em Masterclasses com Franco Petracchi (Roma), Michinori Bunya (Tokio), Ludwig Streicher (Viena), Michael Wolf (Berlim) e Gerhard Dzwiza (Hamburgo).Em Recital e Masterclass apresentou-se nos Estados Unidos nas Universidades de Bloomington, Houston, Iowa, Kalamazoo, Michigan e Pennstate ; na Europa no Conservatoire Superior de Paris, na Universidade das Artes de Berlim, na Escola Superior de Música Hanns Eisler de Berlim, Universidade da Música de Leipzig, Conservatório Superior de Salamaca e a Academia Superior de Música de Oslo. Recentemente foi convidado a nível professor de visitante pela Trinity College of Music – Londres e , de novo, pelo Conservatoire Superior de Paris. Os seus projetos que envolve na ESMAE e na Casa da Música foram publicados pela ISPS - Royal College of Music, The London University, Schott International, The Doublebassist - Orpheus - London, PerMusi - São Paulo Forum IPP Porto e BassEurope Kopenhagen.É membro da International Society of Bassist ISB , da European Society of Bassists EAB e membro fundador da European String Teachers Association ESTA Portugal . Florian Pertzborn is Co Principal Double Bassist with the Concert House Orchestra OSPCM at Casa da Musica, Professor of double bass at the Superior School of Music and Performing Arts ESMAE/IPP in Porto, Portugal. German native, he graduated under Michinori Bunya at the University of Music in Würzburg, received his Post-graduation under Ichiro Noda from the Frankfurt Opera House, obtained a Master Degree in Performance under Jane Davidson, University of Melbourne and Michael Wolf at the University of Sheffield. He received PhD in Music Magna Cum Laude from the Catholic University of Porto under the supervision of Daniela Coimbra UCP and Susan Hallam , University of London . He was appointed as the first double bass professor at Superior level in Portugal, co-organized the first national double bass convention, the first international double bass competition and founded the Portuguese Doublebass Association. Since then he conducts International Masterclasses in Porto which brought some of the most prominent double bass soloists to Portugal. As a professor he regulary designs interdisciplinary performance, editing and recording activities for his students. As a visiting professor and performer he appeared at the Universities of Music in Leipzig, Oslo, New Zealand, Pennstate University, Conservatoire National Superior de Paris, Universities of Berlin, Bloomington, Houston, Iowa, Indianapolis and Michigan. Students from his class have won several prizes (including firsts) at International Competitions in the USA, England, Germany and Portugal and have been successful in auditions for International Orchestras (OSPCM, REMIX, LSO, NDR) and teaching positions. His research on the History of the Doublebass in Portugal and Performance Science has been published with The Doublebassist London, the University of Sheffield, the Polytechnic Institute in Porto, the University of the Minas Gerais in Brazil, International Society of Performance Science ISPS and CITAR.
