Liane Pereira de Meneses obtained her PhD in Biotechnology by NOVA School of Science and Technology in July 2024. She also obtained a Master degree in Biotechnology by NOVA FCT, in 2017, and a Bachelor degree in Biomedical Sciences by University of Aveiro, in 2015. Since 2018, she has been working with deep eutectic systems, particularly with natural deep eutectic systems (NADES), having been involved in multiple research projects in the field. During her PhD she specialized in the stabilization of biological entities, with more focus on proteins. During the final year of her PhD she acquired funding from a protocol with Boehringer Ingelheim, to work on the stabilization of biopharmaceuticals at room temperature. Currently, she works as a Postdoc in LAQV-REQUIMTE, being involved in two main research projects, the one with BI and a project for the development of biomaterials with silk polymers, in collaboration with U. Católica Portuguesa. At this moment, she has published 11 articles in peer-reviewed journals and 1 book chapter. She also has one provisional patent application. Her work has also been presented in multiple international conferences in poster and oral communications.
