Filipe Miguel Pinto Morais has finalized, in 2017, his BSc degree in Biochemistry with an exciting project entitled "New cationic benzoporphyrins: synthesis and antimicrobial activity" with a final degree grade of 15/20. In 2019, his concluded his master's degree with a final grade of 17/20, both obtained at the University of Aveiro. During his master's degree, which was developed in collaboration with the Departamento de Fisiologia e Cirurgica Cardiotoráxica from Faculdade Medicina Universidade Porto his acquired substantial knowledge in the pathological mechanisms underlying non-communicable diseases. It allowed him to purchase other technical skills in the use of several methodologies, mainly in the field of proteomics, to study a biomedical issue. With the MSc thesis entitled "Effect of exercise training on right ventricular remodeling induced by pulmonary arterial hypertension", He's achieved the final classification of 18/20. Actually, He is autor of 1 original research paper and co-author of 1 original research paper in an international peer-reviewed journal, 1 proceeding, 9 posters and 2 oral communications in national and international scientific conferences. 1 of the poster communications was highlighted with the best poster award in an international meeting. Currently, He's a research fellowship in the scope of PORP2PS project at the University of Aveiro with the aim to develop new derivatives based on the conjugation of easily accessible porphyrin scaffolds with triphenylphosphonium salts.
