Paulo Pedrosa (h-index 22) completed his MSc in Materials Engineering and his PhD in Biomedical Engineering. During his PhD he developed new biomedical electrodes to be used in EEG applications. The electrodes developed are commercialised by eemagine Medical Imaging Solutions, GmbH. During his postdoctoral studies, he developed an innovative EEG hydrogel capable of replacing the commercial gels currently used (patent PCT/IB2017/056012), as well as novel thin film sensors at the FEMTO-ST Institute, France. He has taken part in more than 20 research projects (one European), has participated in more than 30 national and international conferences and has published 48 scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals. Paulo Pedrosa is currently the Coordinator of Advanced Materials and Processes Group at DTx, which develops its R&D activities in the field of printed and flexible electronics for a consortium of 13 companies.
