I’m Miguel and I am a Veterinary Virologist. My research interests are viral pathogenesis and epidemiology of diseases. This is particularly important in more dense animal populations such as poultry. Hence, I have been developing my work at the Clinic for Poultry Medicine, at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna, Austria, where I hold a Postdoctoral Researcher position, being also a Resident of the European College of Veterinary Poultry Science (ECPVS). I hold a Ph.D in Fowl Adenoviruses by the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna, Austria, and a Masters in Veterinary Medicine by ICBAS, University of Porto (ICBAS-UP), Portugal. I dedicate my free time to my family and to music.
